Exciting news for Fareham and Gosport VIP

Open Sight is delighted to announce that a brand-new facility for visually impaired people in the Fareham and Gosport area has been launched.

Joining forces with One Community, the voluntary organisation which coordinates community services across the Borough, Open Sight is utilising their bright and modern shop (the photo shows Fareham Mayor Cllr. Geoff Fazackarley cutting the opening ribbon) to offer local VIP another strand of the Charity’s assistive services.

On every first Thursday of the month, Open Sight Independent Living Advisors will be available at the store in the Fareham Shopping Centre to offer a wide range of practical support, including:

  • Information, advice and guidance on all matters related to sight loss.
  • Demonstration of aids and equipment, including magnification, lighting, daily living and technology.
  • Personalised low vision aids assessments.

The welcoming Advisors will be in-store from 10:00am – 3:00pm at Unit 77, Osborne Mall (opposite Millets), Fareham Shopping Centre.

This is a drop-in facility so no appointment is necessary with all advice and guidance provided for free. We very much look forward to welcoming you to our new monthly home.
